Idle Wild: An Evening Under the Stars

An Evening under the Stars: The Story of a Texas Girl was a party thrown by a prominent Dallas family to hi-light their Texas roots. Their goal was to recreate a vision of a hill country ranch with the night sky ceiling to create a more open space. The Dallas Country Club was completely transformed by Absolute Lighting and Junior Villanueva of Garden Gate Floral into a replica of the family ranch complete with family portraits. The family really wanted to reinforce their past and display their true Texas heritage. They topped off the magnificent party with beautiful orchids to create a Mesquite Tree silhouette. All in all the party was a complete success. None of the guests will soon be forgetting this night under the stars.

Dinner in the Wilds- Before and After

Dinner in the Wilds 2008 was created to make the guests feel like they were immersed in the natural beauty of the earth. The idea was to create an ecosystem inside the shelter of the Fair Park Automobile Building. The profits from Dinner in the Wilds were contributed to the new Dallas museum of Nature and Science. The dinner was designed to reflect the state of the art unique design of the new museum in an Eco-friendly way. Absolute Lighting used all LED lights which have a very low carbon footprint compared to other up-lights. They installed a 75 foot curtain which Absolute Lighting used to project images of different biomes throughout the night. They also created a paper-lantern lighting fixture that hung in the middle of the room. To create a "green" atmosphere they used very clean, natural lighting. All together the effect of these components made the night impossible to forget.
